Between May and October, Aliwal Shoal transforms into a spectacular breeding ground for Spotted Sand Tiger Sharks—known locally as Ragged Tooth Sharks. These awe-inspiring predators migrate in large numbers from the south, with the males arriving first, followed by the breeding females.
